In this post I share some improvements we’ve made in our new casual lake house. I’ll show you how we combined a pony wall and a banquette to solve a functional design challenge in our kitchen.

In the world of interior design and decorating, pattern is used to foster cohesiveness and add interest.  Typically, patterns work closely with color and shape to add continuity to a living space. In today’s post, we’ll look at several different types of patterns including animal prints, stripes, floral, foliage, geometric and abstracts… all courtesy of Mother Nature. 

We recently made some minor improvements to increase the comfort and enhance the appearance of our small guest bathroom.  We switched to a curved shower rod and mounted it up high.  Then re-purposed an existing shower curtain to fit. Nothing earth shattering… just a few small changes which had a big impact.
