To grow, to develop, to thrive, to fare well, to prosper, to reach a height of development, to be at the peak of condition, to be in a state of activity or production ― these are all terms used to define the verb “flourish”.  They are also fitting descriptors of my goals for 2026.
Thankfully, I’m on the other side of some significant life changes which have consumed my energy and attention.  Relocating from one country to another, as my husband and I did this past year, is not for the faint of heart!  As we build the rhythms and routines of our new life, we are learning more and more about our new home and community.  I’m intensely grateful for this opportunity to grow, to develop and to thrive in this beautiful place.  Thus, the choice of “Flourish” for my annual word of the year exercise.
Stitching a visual reminder of my chosen word has become my annual New Year tradition.  Here is my word for 2026 ― Flourish.
